I used this last one only once, on a special-purpose sonar called the underwater telephone, when I was Officer of the Deck (Submerged) off Gibraltar in 1972, and the sonarman reported an unexpected submarine nearby, and I was getting no answer using voice mode, so I switched to Morse code.
